JOSH TINKER
LEAD CARPENTER
Josh grew up in what he describes as a perpetually remodeled home, where he was the default labor. Alongside his parents and grandfather, he learned how to update and install just about every aspect of a home. When he got older, he walked into a furniture store in New Orleans and asked for a job, reading joinery books at night to educate himself. Life moved him to Alaska, where he worked as a house builder in very remote places, forcing him to be organized and resilient, as he was often hours from any kind of supply store. He describes his favorite part of work as “Total immersion. At a perfect peak, work is like a zen meditation. Time flies and I am happy with the accomplishments.” In his time away from work, he is an avid reader, and has a constant curiosity for the natural world.
